The patent in which all machines are designed from is of a broad nature allowing product change not yet seen in this type equipment in Australia. For example wet material would need a large opening to expel its load and a smaller carrying area, this would be archived by simply moving the blade mounting place back the required distance to open the gap between apron & the bowl ejecting such material that is generally when wet, larger in size heavier and steeper angled ejecting can help. Plus side up with this patent: · 2 of 3 rams are closed for ejecting actuation. · Only 3 rams total on all products · Because of a single ram actuating in this patent for each function this will alleviate laser grading problems that will be accentuated when driverless machines come on line, (currently operators are overriding these problems using ground speed & anticipation.) Rams always actuate faster in the direction a load is placed on it, additional rams placed on each side of the actuating ram equalising some of the load with sophisticated hydraulics, like a cushion hitch. This can help reduce the effects of the load, while providing added protection when if ram failure occurs.

Saving areas considered Hydraulic cylinder actuation · Saving areas considered are 50% reduction hydraulic cylinders. In hydraulic hosing most likely 70% or more, the Dugong Series has its cylinders placed at the front of the scraper not at the rear or sides. Because of its single hydraulic cylinder and short hose length this results in a reduction in the amount of fluid allowed to move within the oil lines when in normal operation. When the oil is returning to the tank and the cooling system it contains less heat and volume increasing fluid life. |
